Finnish Transport Safety Agency Trafi has granted Valtasiirto a safety certificate, according to which Valtasiirto has had the permission since 18.6.2015 to act as an operator of railway cargo transport.
The goal of Valtasiirto is to develop business in Finland by using its railway operations and acting as a strong, independent Finnish railway operator. As a private railway operator Valtasiirto is willing to develop new solutions for the industry. Questioning old methods will also benefit our partners – it enables a competitive alternative solution for the market.
Towards a more efficient railway transport
Railway transport is an energy efficient and an environmentally friendly alternative. A train can transport larger quantities of material compared to using trucks, which makes railway transport a more cost-effective transportation alternative for materials.
Even if the rails would not continue to the destination, Valtasiirto will deliver the shipment to the receiver by using its versatile transportation equipment.
Years’ worth of railway transport experience
Raideliikenteestä Valtasiirrolla on jo vuosien kokemus. Valtasiirto on tehnyt vuodesta 1999 Harjavallan suurteollisuuspuiston raiteilla vaihtotyötä eli vaunujen siirtotyötä.
Valtasiirto has many years of railway transport experience. Since 1999 Valtasiirto has transported railcars on the Harjavalta Industrial Park railway.
In 2013 when shunting became subject to a license, Valtasiirto applied for a license for shunting and also a safety certificate to operate in the national railway network. Valtasiirto aims to begin transporting cargo on the national railway as soon as possible.
